Industrial Projects
Tahmoor Colliery Bin Assessment
This project involved a finite element analysis of two coal bins. This study was to assess the requirements for an extension to the operating life of the bins.
Baderys Creek Recycling Centre
This project involved the design of a 17m high, 54m wide, 213m long recycling centre building, including the design of: - 400+ tonne Steel portal frame and bracing system - Concrete footings - Concrete retaining walls - Site sound barrier support structure
HMAS Albatross Ditching Pool Chlorinator Shed
This project involved detailed structural engineering design of a chlorination facility building, including design of: - Building footings - Steel frame structure Blockwork walling - Equipment support foundations. - Driveway and surrounding pathway design - Concrete sub-surface balance tank - Repairs to pool structure Works also included involvement in design reviews and onsite construction support and inspections.
Commercial & Infrastructure Projects
Thirlmere site subdivision
This project involved structural design of civil pits, culverts and retaining walls, including design of a 41m x 24m x 4m deep OSD Tank located below a roadway. Front End Structural Engineering provided design and site inspection works of civil structures for a residential subdivision with a large OSD Tank constructed utilising concrete, Dincel and bondek to expedite construction timelines.
ICON Water Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre
This project involved site maintenance and refurbishment works without significant interruption to the process flow. Front End Structural Engineering provided the structural engineering design of an access box that allowed personnel access to replace penstock gates for replacement, while allowing effluent flow around the remaining penstock gates.
Lake Jindabyne Shared trail extension
This project involved the design of 2 steel bridges for two major gully crossings for the lake Jindabyne foreshore. Modular bridge designs were completed to accommodate difficult construction constraints.
